Hello Gardeners,
I recently received a bunch of black-eyed susan plants from a friend in the country,
far more than I can use. I will leave them in my garden at the American Legion room in paper bags, please help yourselves. They do need a lot of sun.
Hi Laura,
ReplyDeleteI have lots of Black Eyed Susans to share too. Beware that they do have a tendency to take over your garden, so you have to thin them out every year. I always offer them to anyone who wants them. I also have the Buttercups that you mentioned in an earlier post. Even shade gardens can use them because they bloom early June, before most of the shade comes from the trees.. In addition to those I have Montauk Daisys. They bloom in October and need sun. Check our my garden to see them in bloom right now. They are VERY easy to grow as long as you have sun.
Your Blog is very good. Wising you good luck with it. Anyone who wants to share in my perennial garden can contact me, Karen or yourself to let me know.

Thanks, Anne, great advice. Not many people took me up on the offer, sadly, but three of us are going to try them.
ReplyDeleteLaura - Thanks for the black eyed susans. I took some last fall, planted them, and said a prayer. Just today, i went out to inspect, and I am seeing the beginnings of growth! Looks like they took... Very excited to have this addition to my garden. I've interspersed them in between my shasta daisies, so it should be a fun mix.
ReplyDeleteBest to you - Matthew
